    4. Champion yellow Swift Sport (zc33s)

8. What made you choose the Suzuki Swift? And what other cars did you consider?

Reliability of M16A and K14C engines and handling dynamics of the Swift Sport. Other cars I’ve considered include the Fiesta ST200, ND and NB MX5.

My current car: The engine and all the oem extras that the car was fitted with.

Performance & Driving Experience

11. How does your Swift handle sharp corners, winding roads, and straight lines?

Corners is where this car comes alive. These young kids just think speed, speed, speed to have fun. straight line speed gets boring very quickly. I prefer cars that can handle corners dynamically over just pure KW and straight line speed and this is what the Swift Sport is for me. A car that actually improved my driving abilities.

12. What modifications have you made to your Swift? How have these mods affected the driving experience?

Current performance upgrades: Upgraded EBC slotted and drilled Discs, yellowstuff pads, Remus cat back exhaust, ecu was tuned, Ultra racing rear strut bar

OEM extras include: Suzuki ZC32S Sport enhanced body kit, 17″ Suzuki Europe alloy wheels, gearknob, side sills

13. Have you taken your Swift to a track or motorsports event? If so, how did it perform?

Not my current Swift, But have taken my previous Swifts. These cars come alive in corners, tracks or on a mountain.

14. What’s one feature of the Swift that surprised you the most?

On the ZC32S, headlight cleaners! haha

15. How does your Swift compare to other cars you’ve driven?

4 of the 5 cars i’ve owned were Swift Sport lol. cant compare the Swift Sport to a citi Golf. Although the Citi Golf taught me a lot about cars and how to fix small things, how to service the car etc. Every car person should own a cheap, easy to work car when they’re young, I believe.

16. If you could improve one aspect of your Swift, what would it be?

My zc32s is perfect. but would love a LSD, some more stiffening on the suspension.

17. Would you recommend the Swift for someone who enjoys spirited driving? Why or why not?

Yes, any Swift is always the answer. The most fun you can have on pass for the cost.

18. What’s the best road trip or journey you’ve taken with your Swift?

Driving it down from JHB when i bought it from another Swift Speed member. But taking the car to Tradouwpass was another highlight.

19. What’s the most fun or exciting experience you’ve had with your Swift

Any Swift Speed event or attending coffee and cars (cars.co.za sentimetal gathering) or killarney motor show where we get to share knowledge and educate folks on our cars is always fun.

The Swift Speed Club

20. What made you decide to join a car club, and why did you choose Swift Speed?

Knew i needed to join Swift Speed while I was still looking for a Swift Sport. Joined to have something in common with like minded Suzuki Swift lovers.

21. How did you find out about the Swift Speed Club?

Facebook.  Not long after I started getting press cars from Suzuki (Ignis) and met Chelsy at the Swift Speed Cape Town launch (at this point i didn’t have a Swift yet)

22. How long have you been a VIP member of Swift Speed?

Since 2018

23. What’s the best memory or event you’ve experienced with Swift Speed so far?

Many, but the fact that as VIPs we got to drive the new Swift before the press and general public. We were also invited to the launch of the Swift thanks to Swift Speed. The Best memories are all the friends I’ve made along the way.

24. How has being part of Swift Speed enhanced your experience as a Suzuki Swift owner?

Learnt so much about Suzuki and its cars as a whole from veteran owners to the newbies. It’s a lovely thing.

25. Do you feel that being in Swift Speed has helped you learn more about your car? If so, in what ways?

100%. Sharing knowledge or asking advice is easy and you will get quality responses for the most part from members.

26. Have the friendships you’ve made within Swift Speed grown beyond just car meets, leading to socialising outside of the club? If so, how has this bond impacted your experience as a member?

Yes! No doubt. I’ve made friends for life. I joined Swift Speed during a very dark time and the friends I made through the club brought some light.

27. What advice would you give to someone considering joining a car club for the first time?

Just join. and if you can, join VIP. Those surprise perks are nice haha

Future Plans & Improvements

28. Are there any future upgrades or modifications you’d like to make?

Not much, really. Focus is just to keep the car running and looking after the best I can.  So just maintaining and upgrading OEM parts to better quality parts when they do go. It is a 13 year old car at this point afterall.

29. If Suzuki were to improve the Swift, what features or changes would you like to see?

New swift is a great upgrade over the last model.

30. Would you consider buying another Swift in the future?

i’ll always have a Swift. If Suzuki decides to bless us with 4th gen Swift Sport. I’m buying. No doubt.

31. What advice would you give to someone considering a Swift as their next car?

Just buy it. So much value for the price over the competition. Also, the Swift and Suzuki community is the best.
